Tomorrow,
You will stand,
Laughing,
On the crest of opacity,
Flashing in my eyes
Those fragments
That you've snatched off time
And stored on your laptop screens.

Somewhere,
Your youth will remain,
In fragments,
Strewn within your reach,
Yours, to pick to remember,
To drop and forget
These photoshopped beautiful memories
These smiles that'll never fade.

Today,
I think I don't
But tomorrow
I'm afraid
I might regret
When I find
My own memories of these young years
Flapping their wings
Among other abstractions
And
Before they are caught--
Always flying away

Memories,
Uncaught images,
Will over time
Become dreams
And words, like colours
Washing into each other
Will paint a beautiful, bewildering scene.
So I really shouldn't care
When I have my words to keep
Yet,
When words begin to slip
Will no beauty remain?
